2017 Goals for Business and Personal

Last year I chose not to blog my business goals for the year. Everything still felt so new in my business, and I didn’t want to have these goals lingering on the internet for all to see. I am happy to share with you all that I not only met my goals, but I exceeded them.  God has been so faithful in my business from the beginning. Even when doubt crept in, His plans were greater, 2016 blew me away!  This year I have chosen to share a few of my business and personal goals in hopes that it will keep me accountable, and that I can have your prayers over my goals as well. So here it goes…

Business Goals:

Book 25 weddings.

This will be my biggest season yet! With two successful seasons behind me I am ready to jump in full force, and take on double the amount of couples I did last year. I love what I do, and serving others is not only my passion but my calling. Increasing the amount of weddings gives me more lives to impact, and it also pushes me closer to my goal of eventually working less at my full time job.

Book 6 floral weddings

I have had a love for flowers ever since I can remember. When I first started my business I wanted to add them right away, but thought it would be best to solely focus on growing the planning side of my business first. Last year I offered florals to three lovely couples, and also provided florals for the AKP CHARMING RETREAT. Providing florals on my own terms helped me to create a process that works for me, it helped me to be passionate about every design I did, and it helped me to not to take on too much too soon. This year I will be offering flowers for small, intimate weddings. My ideal couple has no more than 4 to 5 bridesmaids, and a guest count of under 150 people.

Host a workshop for creatives!

This has been a dream of mine for a while, and as of last week the ball has been in motion for this project! I cannot wait to reveal it to you all very soon!

Blog more

I want to offer more tips to brides, creatives, and share some fun DIY projects! I have calendar full of content ideas, so be on the lookout! My next blog post will be live on Friday of this week!

Personal Goals

Be Content

I can honestly say that I have everything that I need, so why isn’t that enough? Well this year it’s going to be. I have joined my friend Kat Schmoyer in the 2017 Contentment Challenge, and can I just tell you how much of a blessing it’s been already. I have created a list of guidelines and goals for myself, and while it can be tough I’m determined to be content in the little and the great. Philippians 4:11-13

Get back to the gym & running!

I love taking the time to unplug and workout in the gym. I have had some great ideas come to me while running on the treadmill. So I have started packing my gym bag at night, and I will be going straight to the gym after work at least three times a week. Self-care is so important, and while I’m caring for everyone else I really need to take some time and focus on my needs too!

Well that’s a look into my 2017 goals! I would love to hear yours as well, and cheer you on in the New Year!!
